Activities and objectives of the association Plume ! is a student association that produces and disseminates scientific culture to the general public. Its methods of action are complementary: encouraging, promoting, and enhancing the dissemination of knowledge among young scientists. The association publishes the monthly magazine Plume!, which discusses science in language that everyone can understand. Activities and objectives of the association The Objectif Terre association brings together undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students studying earth and water sciences at the University of Montpellier. Objectif Terre helps students in their academic life by organizing group purchases of equipment and providing access to past exam papers. General overview Opened in 1968, the Nîmes University Institute of Technology (IUT) offers technical and vocational training tailored to local and regional needs. An important socio-economic player in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, the institute has awarded more than 20,000 degrees since it opened. A veritable incubator for multidisciplinary initiatives (space, accessibility, electric vehicles, FABLAB, innovative materials), the IUT de Nîmes offers project-based teaching. These courses provide students with a solid foundation in economic analysis, quantitative methods, and social sciences, while developing skills that are in high demand in many sectors. At the Master's level, the program offers two specializations: Money, Banking, Finance, and Insurance (MBFA), comprising several specialized tracks: actuarial science, banking risk, market risk, financial engineering, and information systems. Economics, with a wide range of tracks covering the major areas of economics: energy economics, environmental economics, development economics, digital economics, public economics, health systems, economic psychology, governance, and public policy. The programs offered by the Faculty of Economics are distinguished by their strong professional focus (internships, projects, apprenticeships for several tracks), close links with research, and excellent job placement rates.
